Congress Demands Release of 46 Secret Military UFO Videos (April 2026 Update)

Category: Government Transparency | Congressional Actions

As of April 12, 2026, the U.S. Congress has formally requested the Department of War to release 46 specific military videos related to Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP). These videos have not yet been made public.

What Is Being Requested

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.), Chairwoman of the House Oversight Committee’s Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, sent a formal letter on March 31, 2026 to Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. The letter requests 46 UAP-related video files held by the military, including 45 previously unreleased clips.

The request cites national security concerns, stating that “the presence of UAPs in and around the sensitive airspaces of U.S. military installations poses a threat to the security of the armed forces and their readiness.”

A deadline of April 14, 2026 was given for delivery of the videos to the Task Force.

Known Video Titles (Verified from Reports)

Insiders and public reporting describe some of the requested clips with titles such as:

  • “Several UAP in vicinity of Columbus OH airport”
  • “UFOs in formation over Persian Gulf”
  • “4 UAP formation – Iran, 8/26/22”
  • “Syrian UAP instant acceleration, 2021”
  • “UAP USO formation Wiley 2X Zinc”
  • “Cigar-shaped or fat spherical UAP, 10/15/22”

Some footage is reported to be in clear, full-color quality, unlike many previously released infrared clips. No videos are said to show alien beings.

Context Within Broader Disclosure Efforts

This demand follows President Trump’s February 2026 directive ordering federal agencies to identify and release government files related to UFOs/UAP and extraterrestrial topics due to strong public interest.

The Task Force previously held hearings on UAP transparency in 2025, where whistleblower information indicated that additional video records exist beyond what has been publicly shared.

Current Status

As of April 12, 2026, the 46 videos have not been released to the public. The Department of War’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) continues to coordinate with the White House on UAP records.

iUFODB will monitor official channels (oversight.house.gov, aaro.mil, and defense.gov) and provide immediate updates with direct links if any footage is declassified and released.
